How it works
Tippy keeps one simple idea straight: tips inside Discord are just quick ledger moves between members, and real crypto only moves when money enters or leaves the server.
Deposit
Send SOL to the bank address below, then DM Tippy your transaction signature (claims are DM-only; never post one in a channel). Tippy verifies the transfer on-chain and credits you. Your first claim links that wallet to your Discord account. After that, deposits from your wallet land in your balance automatically, usually within a minute. A transaction can only ever be credited once.
Tip
Type $tip @friend $.25 right in chat and it lands instantly. Dollar amounts convert at the live SOL price, and there are no fees, because nothing leaves the server.
Withdraw
In a DM with Tippy, run $withdraw with your own wallet address whenever you want your SOL out (up to 1 SOL per withdrawal and 2 SOL per day). Withdrawals live in DMs, so your address never sits in a public channel. That one is a real on-chain transfer, signed and sent by the bot.
The commands
$tip @user $.25 | Tip a member 25 cents worth of SOL, typed right in chat. Money amounts convert at the live SOL price: dollars, rupees ($tip @user 100 INR, or ₹) and pesos (PHP, or ₱) all work. $tip @user 0.1 works too, in SOL. |
$airdrop 50 cents for 10m first 10 @role | Drop a pot that splits between members who tap to join before the timer ends. Name a role to limit it to that role's members, and "first 10" caps it at the first 10 to join. |
$bal | Your current balance, with its dollar value. |
$dash | The whole economy dashboard: the bank's live balance, totals for what members hold, and everything tipped, deposited and withdrawn. |
$deposit | The bank address and deposit instructions. |
/claim <signature> | In a DM with Tippy, credit a deposit after you send it. Verified on-chain first. |
/withdraw <address> <amount> | Send SOL from your balance to your own wallet. |
$bank | The bank's real balance, fetched live from Solana at that moment. |
Every command also exists as a slash command (/tip, /bal, /dash and friends) if you prefer those.
The bank
Every deposit goes to one public Solana address, and anyone can check it at any time. That is the whole trust model: do not trust the bot, check the chain.
Watch it live on Solscan. Or run /bank in Discord: Tippy checks the chain fresh on every call, and if Solana is unreachable it says so instead of guessing a number.
Why we built our own
The tipping bots out there kept doing the one thing a money bot must never do: contradicting themselves about whether the bank actually had money in it. So we built the smallest bot that does the job honestly.
- Live or silent: balances from the chain are fetched fresh, never cached or invented.
- Small float: the bot's wallet only holds tip money, with per-withdrawal and daily caps.
- Keys stay home: the bank key lives in a locked file on our own server, never in the bot's code.
